Kelly Dickson – Office Manager
Kelly comes from the sunny Okanagan, where she worked in residential and commercial property restoration. She moved her daughter and herself here two years ago to follow their dreams of being close to the ocean, magnificent hiking trails, and to embrace Island life to the fullest.
Kelly has a strong background in office experience. She brings organization, key leadership, customer service, and accounting to the team. Kelly also works with BC Home Builder’s clients to help in decision-making and project management. “I love being hands-on and offering a smooth, effortless, transition in renovations from the beginning to end.”
Kelly is an artist of many different media, has a wild eye for detail, and is keen to work with you on your job from start to finish.
“The BCHB team are just so amazing to work with. I love working behind the scenes assisting clients when and where I can; from helping you pick out your tile, lighting, right down to the toilet paper roll. I’m always there for you!”
Dawson Harris – Carpenter
Dawson is a 2nd year carpenters apprentice.
“I really enjoy the scope of work that renovations provide as well as the sense of community and family that comes with BCHB as well as the wonderful people we have the chance to build for.”

Rob Wright – Site Manager
Rob is a carpenter and Site Manager, which means he coordinates with owners, designers, management, and trades to bring projects together on budget in a timely manner.
What I enjoy most about working with BCHB is the people. Matt is great to work for and we have a quality crew of people I work closely with daily. Secondly, the diversity of the projects that we get to do keeps things interesting every day.
He is a Journeyman Red Seal carpenter from BCIT with over 12 years of experience. “I have spent a lot of time doing finish carpentry and it is what I enjoy most. I have a well-rounded toolbox which includes formwork and framing as well.” He also has a diploma in professional sales and marketing from BCIT.
“I love to golf and play hockey but don’t have as much time to do them since kids. I have a young family (2 kids) and they keep us awfully busy.”
Bill Clay – Lead Carpenter

“I get to work with an amazingly talented crew.”
Brandan Goodwin – Carpenter
Brandan brings strong teamwork, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to the team. With a solid grasp of building construction, framing stands apart as one of his greatest strengths in my carpentry career.
“I enjoy the opportunities BCHB affords me. I am always learning something new here. Every day is different, and the variety of work motivates me to do well. The company is well organized and professionally managed, which I appreciate, and we have a great crew. We are like-minded people who like to work hard and play hard, which is important.”
Brandan likes to spend his free time hiking and biking along Victoria’s coastline. He owns a long-haired mini dachshund who loves to run around and play. When he isn’t working or enjoying leisure activities, you will find him at the firehall as a volunteer firefighter.
Stephen White – Carpenter
For the past several years of Stephens career, he’s focused on finishing work for both new construction and old; installing doors, casings, baseboards, closet shelving and more.
“BC Home Builders provides me with an environment that pushes me to be the best that I can be. Learning and growth are part of the culture here.”
When not working, Stephen’s favourite place to be is in his kayak on open water. “It doesn’t even matter if it’s a river, lake or ocean, so long as I can breathe in the beauty of nature.”
Dave Hartsell – Carpenter
After nearly ten years travelling across Canada as a Project Manager, working on commercial project, Dave decided to focus more on his home and family life, and to grow his skillset in the carpentry industry as an apprentice. “I am my toughest critic, with attention to detail and drive to get it done right.”
Teamwork is the most important thing to Dave, and he feels BC Home Builders is definitely a great team to be a part of. “I enjoy being able to see the larger picture come together and the satisfaction of working to make someone’s goal or project reality.”
Being new to Victoria, Dave spends a lot of time exploring what the Island has to offer. “I love to surf and golf on weekends. Being a life-long hockey player (goalie), you can find me most days prepping for my next game.”
